Gabrielle E. Clark is a scholar of law and American political development. Her first book, Migrant Labor State: American Political Development Between Globalization and Protectionism, is forthcoming from Stanford University Press in Summer 2027. Her research has appeared or is forthcoming in the Journal of Law and Courts, Law & Policy, Law & Social Inquiry, the American Journal of Legal History, and other journals. Her work has also been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities, National Science Foundation, Social Science Research Council, Wenner-Gren Foundation, the Max Weber Programme at the European University Institute, and the Charles Warren Center for Studies in American History at Harvard University.
